The Mushroom Church is a unique, immersive concert where music, nature, and technology merge to create a truly transformative experience.
Led by Tarun Nayar, the biologist and musician behind the viral project Modern Biology, this performance transforms the hidden rhythms of the natural world into living soundscapes. Using bioelectric signals from plants and mushrooms, electromagnetic fields, and the Earth’s own resonance, Tarun co-creates an ambient, analog symphony of time and place — a musical experience that feels alive and deeply connected to its environment.
The journey begins in the outdoor Earth & Art Market, where guests are invited to gather and explore handmade goods and wellness offerings. As dusk falls, the evening flows into an immersive sound performance inside St. George’s Church — a historic and acoustically resonant venue in the heart of Lisbon.
